An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Ward Manager - *Male Acute Service* to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Hassocks, West Sussex area. As a Ward Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers

This special hospital provides care for people with mental illnesses and/or personality disorders. Our clients have a male acute service, high dependency units for males and females, a female low secure unit, and a specialist personality disorder unit

As a Ward Manager your key duties include:

• Planning and co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment

• Rota management

• Making sure that the physical healthcare needs of patients are assessed and managed effectively

• Ensuring that all patients have clear current care plans that reflect their personalised needs

• Undertaking direct patient care where necessary

• Ensuring the ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards

• Responsible for efficient and effective use of nursing resources

• Ensuring that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and complete mandatory training

An ideal Ward Manager must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:

• Trained as a Mentor

• Experience of clinical audit and/ or service improvement based on evidence desirable

• Computer literate

• Experience supervising nursing staff

The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £43,412 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role, working 37.5 hours a week. In return for our hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:

To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RMN with a current active NMC Pin or hold an Allied Health Professional qualification
